Dubai’s real estate market has grown far more than just selling and renting houses. The scope has spread wide including technology, data, smart services and better access to information, in order to make living in Dubai much easier.

This was clear at the International Property Show (IPS) 2026, held at Dubai World Trade Center from September 7 - 9. The event brings together developers, investors, banks, real estate firms and technology companies.

Technology is changing real estate

Dubai Land Department (DLD) used IPS 2026 to show how technology can make real estate services faster and simpler.

DLD highlighted tools such as the Dubai REST app, its real estate data and transaction displays, and its digital customer service assistant, Malik. These tools offer buyers, owners and investors easier access to services and market data.

AI was also a key topic. DLD discussed how AI can move beyond answering questions and help carry out tasks. Its Initial Registration platform, for example, used AI to read documents, extract data and support transaction processing.

What buyers may see next

IPS 2026 also has a strong focus on future cities, PropTech, design and real estate services. This shows how the property sector is moving beyond the basic idea of buying or selling a home.

Smart homes, digital services and better data can all play a role in how people choose a property and manage it after purchase.

Aayush Puri, CEO - Residential, Anarock Middle East, was also among the speakers at IPS 2026. His participation added a real estate advisory view to the wider discussion at the event.

Understanding current market trends is an important part of navigating the present property market in Dubai. Collaboration among service providers, developers and governing bodies to facilitate a key role in real estate transactions which is more efficient for investors, homebuyers and professionals.

Dubai real estate is becoming more data-led, digital and connected. The general discussion of the IPS 2026 was that the future of the Dubai real estate market will not only be about where you buy, but also about the technology, data and services behind the property.
